Photo Of The Day: “Smile”

Probably not a good title since I have thousands of smiley pics 😊

Anyway, this photo was taken with a Nikon D200 and 50mm f/1.8 AF-D Nikkor. Anyone remember the D200?

In 2005, I was one of the first in NYC to get one. Sadly, I did not like it and I sold it quick. A couple of years later, I got another. Same thing, didn’t like it, sold it again.

Just got one for $85…this one I like! I processed the image. I’ll explain everything in a future posting. I have a lot more to say about the D200 but that’s not for today. In a hurry! I apologize, always in a hurry God dammit 😊

Have a great day and a great week ahead 😎👍🏻

    1. Ah yes, I have fond memories of the S5 Pro! Beautiful camera, shares the same body as the D200 but with a unique Fuji sensor. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

  1. I never had one but when a friend of mine asked my opinion for a camera to take pics at his kid’s HS football games, I recommended the D200 and the 18 to 200mm f/3.5-5.6. He got a great deal on them from eBay and loves the combo!
Sweet pic of Zay who is growing up fast!
Btw, it will just be me and Fred at PhotoExpo this year on 10/27. Hope to see you there! 🙂
    Later bro….

    1. It was a good recommendation Bro, you did right by your friend! It will be great to see you guys on the 27th! I’m gonna miss Rad daddy though!

  2. I still have my D200. I used it for family snap shots, as a travel camera and as a back up for my D2x. Made a lot of money with the D2x and still love the color. Both in a file cabinet with my Hasselblads collecting dust.

    1. I hear ya Buz, some of my favorite cameras sit on the shelf these days as well. It’s amazing how these wonderfully capable cameras just sit waiting for us to rediscover them! 🙂
